This story starts on top of a 14,000 ft peak in Colorado, irritated by a flat pedal that is giving up the ghost at the worst time. Not long after, I found myself in Shanghai, helping to bring a startup industrial design product to market. Stuck in a bustling city, with chunks of idle time, the problems presented to MTB equipment by those jagged peaks stirred in my mind. By the time wheels touched down back in North America, a concept for a new platform pedal had emerged.

From the first ideation, I wanted to solve the nagging problems that plagued the available options. A better pedal body footprint, with easily-replaced and grippy traction pins, and a durable and serviceable bearing system was the goal; the form and detail was found through many rounds of prototyping and experimentation.

We live to ride our bikes in high, wild places, and are stoked on building the world’s best pedals right where the dust settles at the end of another great lap. Our mission is to deepen your connection with your bike, and the places it can take you.
